Role 1. 🏗️ Reach Stacker Operator | South Auckland Freight Hub 🏗️ Are you an experienced (Container ) Reach Stacker Operator looking for your next challenge? Superior Personnel is on the lookout for a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Stacker Operator to join a busy freight hub in South Auckland. This is a full-time role where you’ll be the engine room of the yard!
The Role 🛠️ In this position, you’ll keep operations moving by ensuring efficient container movements and supporting quick truck and train turnarounds. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Operating reach stackers safely to lift, move, and stack containers in the right spots.
- Rail strip/loading duties, including walking the rail line to secure or remove twist locks (requires a good level of physical fitness!).
- Reefer management : ensuring temperature-controlled containers are plugged in and monitored correctly.
- Conducting pre start checks and keeping your machine in top notch condition.
What You’ll Need to Succeed 📋
- License: A current and valid Reach Stacker license / Certificate of Competency. ( ECH )
- Certification: Relevant heavy machinery or container handling certs + a full driver’s license.
- Safety Mindset: A "safety first" attitude—zero serious breaches is the goal!
- Communication: Clear radio skills to stay in sync with yard supervisors and ground staff.
Role 2. 📦 Warehouse Stores person - Freight | South Auckland Logistics Hub 🏗️
Superior Personnel is looking for a reliable and skilled Warehouse Stores person to join a fast-paced cross-docking and warehousing operation in Auckland. If you’re a pro with a forklift and have an eye for detail, we want you on the team! 🚛
What You’ll Be Doing 🛠️
- You’ll be a key part of the warehouse team, ensuring the smooth flow of freight through the facility.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Cross-Docking Excellence: Picking, staging, and packing/unpacking orders for import, export, and domestic delivery.
- Inventory Accuracy: Keeping track of stock with precise data entry and record-keeping.
- Handling Specialized Goods: Experience dealing with steel and associated products is a huge plus!
- Safety First: Identifying hazards and following SOPs to keep yourself and your teammates safe.
What You’ll Need to Bring ✅
- Qualifications: A current OSH Forklift License is essential.
- Experience: Proven background in a warehousing or cross-docking environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with import/export container transport and workflow systems.
- Communication: Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Attitude: A high level of self-management, sound judgement, and a "can-do" approach under pressure.
