Master Data Specialist

Te Tūranga | About the Role

Silver Fern Farms is seeking a Master Data Specialist, whose core role is to uphold the integrity of our Product Library; The Product Library is a centralised system that is used as our single source of truth- detailing instructions needed to produce all our products to meet regulatory, customer and market requirements.

The library includes critical specifications such as product, packaging, labelling, and market eligibility details, and is relied upon to ensure accurate and compliant data for both internal teams and our customers worldwide.

As part of our Master Data team, you'll process and validate new requests, maintain data standards, and provide support to all our processing sites and across the wider business. You'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and company requirements, while enabling smooth operations for Sales, Operations, Planning, and FQEA teams.

This role must be based from our Dunedin Hub, in central Dunedin.

You're detail-oriented, process-driven, and understand the value of data integrity. You'll be interested in a role that allows you to:

• Take ownership of a critical dataset supporting global business success
• Collaborate across multiple teams and sites, building strong business knowledge
• Develop your skills as a subject matter expert in product data and systems
• Work in a supportive team environment committed to continuous improvement

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Strong attention to detail - ability to spot what others miss
• 3+ years' experience in the meat industry or a data management environment
• Understanding of compliance, export regulations, and customer standards
• Excellent computer literacy - Experience with Label design Programmes, Weigh/Label Systems and/or existing SFF business systems e.g. Trade, Triton and Product Library would be an advantage.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to support and train users
• A proactive, customer service approach with a positive, can-do attitude
