Description
1957 Land Rover SWB station wagon restoration project, original black plates and registration certificate, registration on hold and sold as is where is. Vehicle 112702098.
An opportunity to restore and put on the road one of the more popular and some say rarer Series One models with known earlier history and original black plates without having to go through the potentially difficult and expensive compliance process.
Correct year engine 11708090 but not the original, not run so condition unknown but turns freely. Missing fan. generator, air cleaner, fuel pump and battery. Radiator probably the original by date stamp, has changed hose fittings and is patched.
Chassis appears generally sound but later rear cross member fitted by previous owner and front cross member partially removed to fit previous Holden engine and front spring hangers plated. Replacement section included.
Bulkhead patched and rusty so repairable bulkhead included, needs footwells etc.
Back axle appears series 2 but original casing and axles can be supplied.
Front seats (fair) and rear seats poor upholstery but the rare vital parts there.
