We accept payments through Ping or AfterPay.

Ping allows you to pay instantly for your purchases by credit or debit card or bank deposit on Trade Me.

AfterPay gives you the ability to spread the payment for your purchase over 4 equal payments with no additional charges.

Shipping Method We use DHL Express to ship your order from Australia to New Zealand in the quickest possible timeframe. If your order is over $1,000 you may be contacted by DHL and asked to pay some fees associated with customers clearance. The quicker you respond to DHL, the quicker you will receive you order.

Shipping Times Most orders are dispatched on the next working day. We deliver via a tracked DHL Express service - once your order is dispatched you will receive an email with a link to track the status of your order with DHL. You should allow about a week to receive your order. It may be quicker but it’s hard to say with international shipping.

Other Considerations We are based in Australia, between Brisbane and Gold Coast. We do not ship on local public holidays which may differ from those you have in New Zealand.

Whilst we try our very best to ensure that everything listed on TradeMe is in stock and ready to ship to you, there will be some occasions where products have been sold via other platforms and may be temporarily out of stock. We something is out of stock, we will contact you as soon as we can and let you know when more stock is due to arrive. We will also give you an option for a full refund.

Spool Imports is proud to offer quality high performance engine components. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of any product, when you received it, we will gladly exchange it or refund you in full.

You MUST inspect the products when you receive them. This includes checking they are the correct part for your engine. That may include measuring items to ensure they will fit correctly. All parts should be installed by a competent person who is able to take responsibility for the correct installation of the parts.

We cannot accept returns for any items that have been installed whether they have been used or not.

We sell high performance engine parts for use in extreme conditions. The performance of these parts are greatly influenced by the quality of the assembly, the tuning of the engine and the way in which the engine is used and maintained. As such, we cannot be held liable for any damage or failure of any part we supply or any other part of the vehicle.

There is no warranty, implied or explicit, on any parts once they are installed.

Change of Mind Returns Policy

Any rights you have under this policy in relation to your Spool Imports product are additional to any rights you may have under consumer laws.

If you change your mind about your online purchase, we are happy to offer a full refund to the value of the purchased goods. Provided they are not custom items commissioned specially for you.

Goods purchased via TradeMe online must be returned in unused/ uninstalled condition, in original undamaged packaging with proof of purchase within 60 days of the purchase date. You will need to return the product to us by post or courier. Please feel free to contact us for assistance with returns.

We will provide a refund for a product purchased online in the same form as your original payment. Please allow 14 days for us to receive and process your refund. We do not cover the cost of delivery back to our warehouse. We will not refund the original delivery charges for a change-of-mind return. It is your responsibility to return the item to us in a safe way. We are not responsible for items being returned to us which are lost or damaged in transit.

Do pistons come with rings? Yes, all the pistons come with rings and gaugeon pins. Almost all come with pin locks. With Subaru pistons you need to use factory locks.

What bolts come with the Spool Conrods? Conrods come with ARP2000 conrod bolts. H-Beam except V8, come with 3/8” bolts, Drag Pro I-Beam conrods come with 7/16” bolts.

How much horsepower are your conrods rated to? It’s hard to give a definitive answer because tune and rpm, amongst other things, have a big effect on the durability and reliability of engine components. All the pistons we sell are rated to a minimum of 150hp (at the engine) per cylinder. Our H-Beam conrods have around the same rating. Our Drag Pro conrods are rated at around 250hp per cylinder, mostly due to their larger and stronger bolts.

How long does shipping take? Once we dispatch your order, it shouldn’t take more than a week to get to you. That is providing you respond to any requests from DHL in a timely manner. We will work hard to have your order dispatched within 1-3 days.

What do I do if I have a problem with one of your products? Let us know and we will try to help. Take a look at our returns policy if it’s something serious.
