Description
1986 debut album by NZ/Australian band Crowded House. Neil Finn and Paul Hester (both formerly of Split Enz) formed Crowded House in 1985 with bassist Nick Seymour, and they were an immediate hit in Oz and NZ with healthy sales and sold out shows. The album really went stratospheric in 1987 when "Don't Dream It's Over" went to No. 2 on the US Hot 100 chart (and No. 1 in NZ and Canada). "Something So Strong" was also a US Top 10 hit. A brilliant album, it's full of Crowded House classics -- winners like "Mean To Me", "World Where You Live", "Now We're Getting Somewhere" as well as the two major hits. Either one of the best Australian or best Kiwi albums of the 1980s (depending on who you ask) -- impeccably crafted pop songs by Neil Finn, expertly produced by Mitchell Froom.
Made in the UK.
CD, booklet and jewel case are in excellent condition.
