Yamaha RD350LC 1980
Description
It's not new, it's not "concours" but she is in very good condition and an excellent example of an RD350LC.
A restoration carried out by the previous owner. I've had her 8 years and fettled and worked on her consistently ever since, to what I'd call a 90% plus restoration. The photos tell it all, but viewing is recommended.
Running period Micron pipes, which provide a nice crisp exhaust note. I believe some work has been done to the ports and of course the engine has been rebuilt but to what degree or level I don't know, she goes gooooood!
Good torque and very usable around town, under 5000rpm. She flattens out a bit and then at 6000rpm all hell breaks loose! in the effort to calm things down and keep the front wheel on the ground I geared her up a bit and also fitted spacers between the barrels and reed block, as supplied by Yambits. This helps to broaden out the power.
A lot of the parts fitted are NOS and some are as supplied by Yambits. A lot are refurbished original and some of these still show signs of their age and use.
The clutch basket rattles a bit at idle, but once the lever is pulled in and in gear it goes away, it's not a major issue. I have the basket bushes that will go with the bike.
Some spare parts will come with the bike, some used, some NOS and some Yambits, inc a workshop manual gasket set, seals, blah, blah, blah!
Rego is presently on hold and the WOF has expired but these will be up to date when sold.
The K's may increase as this bike is used on sunny Sundays.
Only selling because I have my eye on something else which means something has to go to make room and help finance it!
