1990 BMW 535is - NZ New

Getting rare to find these days is the E34 535is (also known internationally as the 535i Sport). The 535is was brought to the New Zealand market with the same 211HP M30B35 engine as the standard 535i but with the addition of a factory-fitted m-technic body kit including boot spoiler, factory-fitted m-technic sports leather seats, m-tech 2 steering wheel, factory limited-slip differential, 5-speed manual transmission and sports suspension. Being a higher spec car it also features an electric sunroof, on-board computer, fog lights front and rear, electric windows front and rear and the higher specification stereo system.

This particular 535is is a good runner with a brand new warrant of fitness and registration put on just last week. As with most E34s (especially with the kms she's done), there are plenty of signs of age and so looking for a new owner who can take her in and give her some love and attention! This was my intention as I bought her with a fix-up mindset but I've decided to instead cash up and focus on other projects instead.

To pass the most recent WOF there was some rust repair work done professionally under the sills by Bruce Raxworthy (I have an invoice and photos of the work done available). There are a few patches of surface rust, the clear coat is failing in multiple areas. Interior needs a tidy up, loose headliner etc... There is an oil leak from the engine. I would highly suggest anyone interested comes to view the vehicle first or of course, I'm more than happy to answer questions or take phone calls from anyone genuinely interested.

If you check my other listings you will see a bunch of other parts including suspension arms, brake kit, steering wheel re-cover etc... that I had bought to start restoring her to former glory. I am more than happy to negotiate a deal with these with any interested buyer.

Nb. The new number plates are as it had a personalised plate on it before - it has not been re-registered.
