Land Rover Other 2A Dormobile 1968

Here we have a 1968 Landrover 2A Dormobile Campervan. It has Rego on Hold. It has in the past been converted to a Holden 202 Engine with a Nissan truck 5 speed gearbox. The Engine runs well and with the 5 speed gearbox it goes like a rocket. During my ownership it has had Brakes overhauled with a new booster and copper lines. The front suspension has also been all sorted, balljoints etc. It has a new muffler and tailpipe. Recently I changed the oil and filter. It comes with some spares including an axle if you want to build an off road trailer. Also there are several spare tyres Being a rare English Dormobile it sleeps 4. The seats fold out to a double bed and once the top has been popped up there are 2 bunks that fold out. Also there is a cooker and a sink in the back. This Landrover has suffered from sitting around and has got the usual rust in the firewall and door frames. I would advise viewing to assess this for yourself. Basically it needs a cosmetic tidy up. The battery is on its last legs. I noticed when I got it out that the electric fan for the radiator has stopped working for some reason. It can only be run for a short time because of this. If you have an A-frame it has brackets for towing. There is a Haynes Workshop Manual and a Restoration Manual that go with it. This would make a very rewarding project. The first owner was the then Governor General of NZ. Without having to do too much you could easily add $20K value to this rare vehicle. Camping in the high country... legend
