I’m an experienced counsellor (community and youth) and recognise that families needs assistance at times when there is a whanau member that needs companion care.

• This may be an elder who is living independently and would benefit from someone popping in for a cuppa and chat. This may involve some light help around the place.
• I have been a school counsellor for 12 years, with a teaching background, and am aware of children and adolescents who find school attendance difficult, for many reasons. I am able to meet the young person in their home and assess what might be supportive in terms of well-being support and what educational links may be available.

Companionship for all ages. I’m open to what will suit a situation. I’m flexible and adaptable, with a particular interest in neurodiversity. This has featured in my work and in my own family experience. I am strength based and have had a long term interest in mindfulness and neuroscience. I have an old doggie that can join me as well.
