Tatua is a world leader in specialised dairy ingredients and dairy foods. Since 1914, we have been developing and producing food products at Tatuanui, in the heart of New Zealand’s largest dairying region – the Waikato.
We focus on producing safe, high quality dairy foods and dairy ingredients for our global customers through collaboration, responsiveness and reliability.
Our 101 shareholder farms and 400 employees in New Zealand, Japan, China and the USA are committed to innovation and excellence in everything we do, ensuring we deliver value to our global customers.
Our Purpose is in our Name. A Tatua is a strong, durable, woven flax belt that was worn by a Maori chief or warrior to carry their most prized possessions and tools. For us it symbolises knowledge, skills, connectedness, strength and the protection of all that is good. Traditionally handed down from one generation to the next, the Tatua represents the protection and advancement of both current and future generations.
Our 101 shareholder owned farms are all located within a 12km (7.5 mile) radius of our manufacturing facilities, at Tatuanui. Tatua farms are owned by local farming families, some of whom are 3rd and 4th generation suppliers to Tatua.
We are committed to consistently and sustainably delivering premium earnings to our shareholders, whilst also supporting the ongoing ability to reinvest for growth and sustainability.
Our ongoing commitment to sustainability focuses on the things we do every day to ensure value for future generations. We aim to produce nutritious ingredients and food products whilst ensuring that we care for our animals, our environment, our people and our communities.
We work together to produce extraordinary outcomes for our customers. We’re committed to attracting and retaining people who bring energy and enthusiasm to our workplace.
We have a strong team culture, an enjoyable work environment, we make things happen, encourage personal growth and offer training and development.
