About the Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager – Structures, you’ll be responsible for the full commercial administration of projects, from procurement and contract management through to financial reporting and close‑out. Some travel may be required as part of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate with minimal oversight, ensuring accuracy and commercial integrity
  • Manage procurement, subcontractor engagement, and contract administration
  • Prepare and review variations, progress claims, and financial reports
  • Support Project Managers with EOTs, notifications, and contractual correspondence
  • Undertake estimating duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with NZS3910, NZS3915, NZS3916, and SA2017 Subcontract
  • Contribute to risk management, forecasting, and cost control

About You

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, including 5+ years in NZ
  • Open to Engineers seeking to transition into a QS role
  • Strong understanding of concrete structures and civil/structural delivery
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Deep knowledge of NZ standard forms of contract (NZS3910/3915/3916)
  • Strong understanding of SA2017 Subcontract
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail‑focused, commercially astute, and proactive in problem‑solving

Remuneration: $170K - $190K pending experience + Benefits
