Quantity Surveyor

ConsultANZ is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for an upcoming renewable project for a well-established civil contractor in Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers to prepare detailed Scopes of Work, ensuring documentation meets compliance standards
• Oversee the tender evaluation process and provide recommendations for award
• Prepare subcontract documents for issuance
• Coordinate and facilitate initial meetings following contract awards
• Ensure subcontractors meet all statutory and compliance requirements
• Prepare and review payment authorisations for progress claims
• Manage subcontract variations in line with established procedures
• Assess and respond to subcontractor extension of time claims
• Finalise claims and manage the procurement of deeds of release Requirements The successful candidate will bring to the role:
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Over 4 years’ experience working with contractors, with a proven track record in estimating and securing large-scale projects
• Skilled in quantity take-offs and well-versed in standard methods of measurement and standard forms of contract
• Proficient in first-principles estimating and detailed takeoffs
• Practical and hands-on approach, complemented by strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of delivering accurate and timely commercial advice to Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Management
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information professionally and assertively across all levels of a project team What's in it for you?
