This is a well-established quality main contractor have been responsible for some iconic projects for many decades. They build across a range of projects and continue to grow with a full work order book for 2026.
They have a requirement for a Senior QS that has ideal experience worked in commercial and interiors projects up to $30M.
Reporting into a Commercial Manager you will operate with minimal oversight and be responsible for the commercial and financial administration of projects
The role will cover:
- Tender estimates and review and letting contracts
- Meeting with sub-contractors
- Project protocol set up
- Cost management and monitoring of projects
- Variation management
- Some estimating required as part of the role.
- Sub contractor negotiations and management
- Final reporting
- Work with the Project Manager, assisting with EOT’s, notifications etc.
- Mentoring and supporting Intermediate or junior QS’s
- Being a client facing QS representing clients
As an applicant, you have commercial construction QS experience of at least 10+ years from a main contractor across a range of projects $1M - $30M. You would been the sole QS on projects and be willing to do all aspects of the QS role.
Your cost management skills and commercial acumen are excellent with proven results in increasing profitability on projects. You are experienced with the standard forms of contract, NZS3910, 3915 and 3916.. As well you have strong experience with systems including Procore, Jobpac, Costx, ProcurePro. You work well within a team environment and thrive on the pressure that construction projects bring. You are tertiary qualified with a quantity surveying degree.
Remuneration package: $170K - $195K + Benefits
