Description
This role supports the preparation and management of project costs across residential developments, from early feasibility and estimating through to construction delivery. You will work closely with senior staff, and site-based Construction teams to ensure accurate cost information and effective budget control.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in the preparation of cost plans, feasibility estimates, and project budgets -Complete quantity take-offs and assist with pricing analysis -Procurement Support -Assist with tender reviews -Assist with cost reporting, budget tracking, and cashflow forecasting -Track variations, provisional sums, and allowances -Support progress claims, payment claims, and commercial reporting -Maintain and update pricing libraries, cost benchmarks, and estimate databases -Assist in improving estimating accuracy and internal cost management systems -Assist in monitoring commercial exposure across projects
About You
-1–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant QS role -Exposure to residential construction or development projects preferred -Good understanding of construction pricing, take-offs, and cost control -Strong Excel skills; experience with Xero or construction cost systems is an advantage -Well organised, detail-focused, and keen to learn -Abe to work unsupervised
