Quantity Surveyor RESPONSIBLE TO: Auckland Pricing Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR: Compiling Estimates, Costing, and Project Management

Job Purpose This position in the construction industry is responsible for compiling estimates of how much it will cost to provide a client or potential client with services. This role will be required to work out how much a project is likely to cost and create budgets accordingly. The job involves assessing material, labour and equipment required and analysing different quotes from subcontractors and suppliers · Liaise with Contracts Commercial Manager to ensure the project is on time and within budget · Build strong subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing · Prepare a schedule of quantities and assess cost-effectiveness projects, products & services · Good understanding of NZS3910 conditions of contract both weekly and monthly · Represent the company at site meetings with the Contract Manager and Site Manager · · Diploma or Degree in Business Management or member of MNZIQS · 1-2 years QS experience · The ability to interpret drawings accurately · Well-developed technical competence

Has worked in roles where he/she has had to accept responsibility for data accuracy within own remit and work area and compliance with company and or legal
