Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Concrete Foreman to become part of our team. The position involves overseeing the placing and finishing of concrete on a range of residential and commercial sites, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and adhering to all health and safety requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities A successful candidate will be responsible for: *Preparing sites, including setting out, forming, levelling, and boxing *Placing, pouring, and levelling concrete for driveways, footpaths, patios, carparks, and slab works *Screeding, finishing and curing concrete surfaces to specified tolerances *Using concrete tools and equipment including floats, trowels, edgers, levelling machines *Experience with ride-on power floats and laser level machines an advantage but can be trained *Ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and workmanship standards *Assisting with site cleanup and general team support *This job requires a skilled worker who can work both independently and collaboratively with construction crews on multiple project sites
Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate: ✔ At least 3 years directly relevant work experience in concrete placing and finishing ✔ Proven ability to perform job duties independently and to industry standards ✔ Competent in use of concrete placement tools, equipment, and finishing techniques ✔ Ability to read plans and specifications and execute work accordingly ✔ Full NZ driver licence (Class 1) ✔ Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with team and clients. ✔ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship ✔ Pass a drug and alcohol test
