About the Role:

Busck Ashburton have secured large Super T contracts to begin in 2026.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Prestressed Concrete worker with Super T experience to join our team at our brand-new, purpose-built Ashburton site as a Foreman. If you’re practical, safety-focused, and enjoy working in a busy yard environment, this could be a great fit for you.

This full-time position offers the chance to work with a collaborative team, contributing to the company's continued growth and expansion in a supportive and rewarding work environment.

What You’ll Be Doing Primarily:

• Set up and prepare forms, moulds, and casting beds for prestressed concrete products
• Install and prestress strands according to engineering specifications
• Place reinforcement steel and embedded items accurately
• Mix, pour, spread, and finish concrete
• Monitor curing processes
• Destressing prestressed product safely after concrete reaches required strength
• Strip forms and assist with product handling, lifting, and storage
• Perform patching, grinding, and surface finishing as required
• Inspect finished products for defects and dimensional accuracy

As a foreman you will:

• Supervise staff and issue instructions to staff under your supervision, ensuring health & safety and company quality, processes and procedures are adhered to (particularly in the absence of the Manager).
• Provide relevant training and SOP sign off for all staff operating factory machinery and ensure staff are authorised to operate machinery at all times.
• Ensure that all materials required for production are kept with adequate stock volumes. Any short falls or additional materials required should be recorded and escalated to the Manager in advance of them being required to prevent production delays.
• Place concrete orders when required.

Safety & Teamwork Safety is a big deal here. You’ll be expected to:

• Keep your work area clean and tidy
• Follow all health and safety rules and wear the right PPE
• Look out for yourself and others working around you
• Lend a hand with other site work when needed, including yard, construction, and standard product tasks What We’re Looking For
• Solid experience as a prestressed concrete worker (in particular with Super T moulds)
• Experience in leading a team
• Someone reliable, practical, and happy to pitch in
