As a Milking or Water Technician based in our Invercargill branch you will be key in ensuring our equipment is installed correctly on-site and that the maintenance is kept up to date.
Position Overview This position is as a Milking Machine Technician working as part of our Milking division. The core role will be maintenance of herringbone and rotary dairy sheds. A trade qualified engineer would be preferred for this role, however relevant work experience would also be accepted in the absence of a trade qualification.
Although you may not have the specific skills to be a qualified technician, you will have the transferable skills needed for these roles. You will be willing to learn about the dairy industry and products and services we provide to our customers. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work unsupervised. Although a trade qualification is not required, an understanding of engineering and being mechanically minded would be an advantage. Training will be provided to the successful applicant. This is a 40 hour per week position.
