Are you an organised, proactive and experienced administrator looking for flexible hours and a change of pace?

We're a small, growing joinery company looking for an experienced Office Administration Manager who can take ownership of managing scheduling and administration day to day, and help us to put the right systems in place to improve the way we work as we continue to grow.

Hours for this role are flexible - we're offering 20-30 hours per week Mon-Fri but start/finish times are negotiable. Our office and workshop are in West Melton - work from home is an option from time to time if necessary but we'd prefer most hours to be worked in office in order to be around for the team, clients and deliveries.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing, scheduling and tracking job bookings for our team;
  • Taking client calls and emails and providing helpful, professional communication;
  • Supporting the team with quoting and sales;
  • Ordering materials and keeping track of stock and supplier requirements;
  • Tracking and filing health and safety documentation;
  • Handling general admin and paperwork to keep the office running efficiently;
  • Helping set up and improve systems, processes, and workflows.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone organised, confident, and comfortable taking ownership in a sole-charge role;
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly manner with clients;
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to juggle tasks;
  • Someone not afraid to speak up when something doesn't work, to point out problems and find better strategies;
  • Experience with admin, scheduling, or office management (bonus if you’ve worked solo before);
  • A natural problem-solver who enjoys building systems and processes.

We're looking for someone with experience in administration or logistics, or in comparable roles. We're currently using Xero, Tradify and Google Workspace - experience with these would be great but is not essential.
