  • Permanent, Full-Time 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

As an Executive Assistant, youll provide highlevel executive, business and secretariat support to senior leaders within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Maui. This includes proactive diary and email management, preparing documentation and briefings, coordinating meetings and events, supporting strategic priorities, and acting as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

This role is more than traditional EA support - you will also act as a technical expert and strategic enabler, driving digital efficiencies, supporting crossfunctional projects, improving systems and processes, and ensuring leaders have the right information at the right time. You will regularly triage and prioritise sensitive matters, exercise sound judgement, and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

Youll work collaboratively as part of the Executive Support team and will occasionally provide cover for colleagues supporting other HSEG leaders.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You will be part of Health Services, providing highlevel support to senior clinical and operational leaders within Te Whatu Ora. This role supports the Chief Allied Health, Scientific and Technical (CAHST) and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and works closely with a wide range of stakeholders across national, regional and local teams.

About you

You are an organised, adaptable and forwardthinking professional who brings maturity, confidence and exceptional relationshipbuilding skills. You will have:

Essential:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or senior administrative support professional.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels, including with health sector leaders.
  • Highly proficient IT capability MS Office, Adobe, PALs and other digital tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to streamline workflows, improve reporting and enhance efficiency.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, anticipate needs, and manage competing demands.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and experience integrating Te Tiriti principles in practice.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, composure and professionalism.
