Description

Are you a highly organised people person who is systems-focused and analytically strong?

This role sits in the centre of our business, strengthening our people systems, driving training processes and supporting our team to perform at their best.

You’ll need to be confident with systems, comfortable pivoting between priorities, and capable of driving projects. You’ll also need excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with a variety of different personalities.


Who We Are We are an award winning gardening company with over 30 years’ experience managing gardens and grounds throughout New Zealand. Sustainability, long-term partnerships and developing our people sit at our core. Due to growth, this is a newly created role with real scope to shape and strengthen our internal people systems.


The Role This is a varied position combining HR administration, training coordination, systems maintenance, general administration and project work. The role would be 24/25 hours a week, sometimes requiring 28 hours per week, based in Petone. There may be potential to grow. The salary is pro rated FTE.


Key Responsibilities: People & HR Administration

  • Facilitate recruitment, onboarding and employment documentation
  • Maintain employee records in line with NZ legislation
  • Coordinate and conduct team member reviews in conjunction with our Operations and Relationships Managers.

Training & Development

  • Refine, improve and maintain training systems
  • Coordinate training and professional development systems
  • Coordinate our team’s health and safety and induction compliance

Systems & Administration

  • Refine and maintain internal training processes
  • Drive projects and ensure accountability
  • Maintain accurate administrative systems
  • Support general business tasks as required

You will work closely with all team members, build strong relationships, and keep your finger on the pulse across the business.


About You:

  • Highly organised with strong task management skills
  • System driven with strong analytical capability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Self-managing, proactive and detail-focused
  • Strong communicator with sound judgement and discretion
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and connections
  • Adaptable and comfortable with shifting priorities
