Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process client tax calculations and returns in compliance with legal requirements.
- Stay updated on Inland Revenue Rulings, legislation, and case law.
- Assist with formulating solutions to client issues and identify value-added opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Demonstrate leadership and effective coaching within the team.
- Assist in implementing new processing systems, administrative tasks, and data entry.
- Prepare workflow reports to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong data entry and computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Confidence working with numerical data.
- Basic understanding of the NZ tax environment (training provided).
- Positive, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
- Ability to manage a busy workload and multitask.
- Willingness to work extra hours during peak season, including weekends.
Base Hours for Both Roles: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Extended hours during peak season.
Additional Information:
- Based in Central Christchurch.
- Flexible start date and contract lengths to be discussed during the hiring process.
- Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
