Life Education Trust Nelson/Tasman is a charitable organisation responsible for delivering education to support the health and wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi, via interactive learning experiences in the Nelson/Tasman region. We do this via a mobile classroom, an incredible educator and our mascot Harold the Giraffe.
This is a part time role that will vary from 5-10 hours per week, up to approximately 40 hours per month. It is key to ensuring the effective operation of the Trust and allows the Trustees their limited volunteer time to be as effective as possible.
Responsibilities include:
- Payroll (for Administrator and Educator)
- Grant and donation applications
- Preparation of Agenda, Minutes, Financials for monthly meetings
- Attendance at meetings
- Maintenance of annual plan
- Lead planning and preparation of events for sponsorship and fundraising
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Self motivated and pro-active
- Well organised
We are looking for someone with the following skills/qualities:
- Experience with Xero
- Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Self motivated and be able to work independently
This role reports to the trust chairperson and is Nelson based. Training on the ins and outs of this role will be provided.
