Office Administrator

Aspen Horticulture 2010 Ltd is a family-run business specializing in kiwifruit growing and contracting during the picking season. We are seeking an experienced and capable Office Administrator to support the smooth running of our operations.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on and varied role responsible for financial and general office administration, with involvement across health & safety, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance. This role will suit someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working closely with a small team to gather information and meet deadlines.

This is a part-time position with hours that vary seasonally. Outside the picking season, you will work approximately 10–15 hours per week across three days, increasing to around 20 hours per week during the picking season.

About you

  • Proven experience in an Office Administrator or similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero; experience with Tatou or other job management software is an advantage
  • Experience across payroll (Smartly), compliance, and reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in the kiwifruit industry (preferred but not essential) Key responsibilities
  • Financial administration using Xero, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll processing and wage reconciliation
  • Liaising with the company accountant, including timely provision of information for GST, statutory accounts, and other finance-related requirements
  • Human resources administration, including maintaining staff records, templates, and policies
  • Supporting health & safety administration, reporting, and compliance obligations
  • General office and systems management, including contractor administration, fleet records, coordination of IT support, and social media updates
  • Supporting the General Manager with administrative and compliance requirements
  • Assisting with compliance across relevant industry standards (GAP/GRASP) and company policies
