Description
Cater & Co is looking for an experienced Office & Accounts Administrator to join our small, close-knit team. This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being across all aspects of office and financial administration.
About the role
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- To support the business through a period of system and process improvements.
- Define and develop the position to meet the needs of the business.
- The role is expected to continue for 4 to 8 weeks at which point the ongoing need for the position will be reassessed.
- Reporting directly to the Directors.
Key responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate employee records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Complete end-of-month processes
- Assist with GST, PAYE and other tax-related requirements
- Liaise with external accountants
- Manage general office administration, including emails and phone enquiries
- Provide administrative support to the management team
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of MYOB
- Solid understanding of accounting processes and payroll
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a small team environment
- Hospitality experience is an advantage
