For over 40 years, SOS Kaipara has been a trusted and respected organisation providing specialist support, counselling, refuge accommodation, and prevention education services to women and children affected by family and/or sexual harm. We are proud of our strong community relationships and long-term funding contracts that enable us to deliver holistic and diverse programmes throughout the Kaipara District.
We are looking for a skilled senior Administration Lead to join our dedicated team. This part-time position is critical to ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our services and operations. You will work closely with other team leads and professionals who are passionate about delivering sexual and family violence services to our community
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- Prepare and submit funding applications on behalf of the organisation.
- Compile and submit reports to funding agencies and external stakeholders.
- Represent SOS Kaipara in forums, education programmes, and community events.
- Prepare and monitor contracts, along with organizational policy and procedures
- Demonstrate financial literacy, including budgeting, accounts payable, and payroll coordination.
- Supervise the Administration Support staff member.
- Work collaboratively with other team leads to support and deliver HR functions
- Maintain awareness of workplace Health & Safety and hazard reporting.
- Willingness to be trained and available to work with the team for crisis response
SKILLS, APTITUDE AND EXPERIENCE SOUGHT: -
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong time management and ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, internet, and client management systems.
- Awareness of tikanga Māori and commitment to culturally safe practice.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration or office support roles.
- Experience in social services, not-for-profit, or community settings is an advantage.
- Holds a clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence and can pass Police Vetting.
- Positive attitude and good sense of humour.
