Office Manager Dominator Garage Doors Taupo Taupo | Full - time | Flexible hours Dominator Garage Doors Taupo is a locally owned and operated business and part of the trusted New Zealand-wide Dominator Garage Doors network. Due to a change within our team, we are seeking an experienced and capable Office Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our office. This is a sole-charge role and suits someone who enjoys responsibility, variety, and being the front line of a well-established local business.
About the role As Office Manager, you will be the central point of contact for customers, technicians, and suppliers. You will manage enquiries, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and office administration, while also supporting marketing and sales activity. This role requires someone who is confident, organised, and comfortable working independently.
Key responsibilities
- Managing all incoming customer enquiries by phone, email, and walk-ins
- Scheduling daily and weekly work for technicians
- Preparing quotes and following up to convert enquiries into sales
- Invoicing, receipting, and account reconciliation using Xero
- Managing supplier orders and tracking deliveries
- Maintaining accurate client and job records
- Handling customer queries or issues professionally
- Managing social media activity, including Facebook and Instagram posts and promotions
- Supporting seasonal marketing campaigns and service promotions
- General office administration and reporting
About you We are looking for someone who can confidently run an office and represent the business professionally. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Administrator, or similar sole-charge role
- Working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Confidence using Facebook and Instagram for business marketing
- Excellent phone manner and strong people skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good computer literacy across office systems
- Sales or customer service experience (advantageous but not essential)
- The ability to work independently and prioritise effectively
Hours & flexibility
- Preferred hours are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- We are open to flexibility for the right candidate, including school-friendly hours
