Mō te tūranga | About the role

You'll be the go-to Yard & Storeperson Administrator at our Hamilton depot, keeping things moving smoothly behind the scenes. Day to day, you'll be hands-on with data entry in our finance system (JDE), stock management, vehicle upkeep, hire and maintenance of small equipment, and pitching in with general yard duties as needed.

This is a tight-knit two-person team, so how you work with others really matters. We're after someone who's reliable, organised, easy to communicate with, and enjoys working side by side to get Good Work done.

The hours are 6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday - a 4-day working week so you can make the most of your long weekends.

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

  • Accurate data entry and management of quantities, job details and stock records in JDE
  • Maintaining a strong focus on detail and numerical accuracy
  • Managing your workload and prioritising tasks in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Communicating clearly and proactively about any issues or discrepancies
  • Learning and managing new internal systems following our recent system rollout
  • Maintaining stock awareness and operational organisation around the depot
  • Supporting plant and equipment, including: - Checking equipment, trailers, trucks and small plant for damage or cleanliness - Recording and reporting faults or issues with hire plant - Helping with general presentation and organisation of hire equipment

  • Strong administration and/or operational systems experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and follow things through
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Ideally some exposure to inventory, logistics, hire, or plant/equipment environments
  • Able to carry out the inherent requirements of the role, including some hands-on, outdoor work and manual handling within safe limits
