Mō te kaupapa - About The Salvation Army Supportive Housing:
Our supportive housing programmes provide safe short-term accommodation for whānau in need of long-term accommodation. While in the service whānau are supported by skilled professionals to address their immediate needs, provide wrap around supports and look at opportunities available to them.
Mō te tūranga - About the role:
The role of the Supportive Housing Property Coordinator position is to:
- Advance the mission of The Salvation Army
- Effectively provide property services for the transitional houses and occupants of the properties.
- Support procurement and retention of properties for transitional housing
- Provide practical support and coordination for occupants entering and transitioning out of the transitional housing properties
- Ensure houses are clean, well maintained and provide a welcoming environment for occupants

- Occupant Support
- Ensure houses are well maintained, providing a welcoming environment for occupants
- Provide oversight of rent payments
- Supporting property procurement and lease retention
- Committed to upholding and supporting The Salvation Army mission and Christian values.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines and policies.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent people skills- able to connect with a variety of people and work well in a team environment.
- Have some experience in property or tenancy coordination, preferred.
- Have experience in working within a social service or caring profession.
- Be highly organised with excellent administration skills.
- Be solution focused - good problem solver.
- Have the ability to be highly flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- Have a clean full NZ driving licence.
- Have excellent communication and listening skills.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5.30pm, for a total of 40hrs per week.
The starting salary for this role will fall between $67,000 and $75,000 depending on experience.
