Description

About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Heat pump servicing technician to join our servicing team. You will be visiting homes and businesses to assist with heat pump maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer interactions. It's an ideal starting spot for someone eager to learn the ropes to help solve real-world problems and make a tangible difference in people's comfort and energy savings. You will work alongside experienced pros in a collaborative environment that prioritizes your growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine inspections, cleaning, and basic servicing of heat pump units
  • Engage with customers in a friendly, reassuring way—explaining services, sharing maintenance advice, and addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage your daily schedule of appointments, arriving on time and wrapping up efficiently to keep things running smoothly.
  • Log service details via our user-friendly mobile app, including notes and photos, for easy team updates.
  • Support minor installations or upgrades as you develop hands-on confidence.
  • Spot and suggest opportunities for energy-saving enhancements to delight customers.

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional Customer Service: A warm, approachable vibe with strong listening skills—perfect for turning service calls into raving fans (experience from customer-facing roles like retail or hospitality is a plus!).
  • Do not mind getting the hands dirty.
  • Solid Time Management: Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and hit deadlines in dynamic, on-the-go settings.
  • Keen Learner: A can-do attitude and quick adaptability—no prior heat pump or technical experience needed, though any related background (e.g., basic trades, DIY, or entry-level maintenance) is beneficial and valued.
  • Physically capable of working in varied settings (indoors/outdoors, using tools and ladders).
  • Valid NZ driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Clear communication skills, spoken and written.
  • Bonus: Enthusiasm for sustainability or familiarity with electrical/plumbing basics (but we'll teach you the rest!).
