Description
We are looking for experienced individuals to take the position of a Store Manager at our Liquor Store.
A successful candidate will be one who can plan, lead, organise and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve our high standards.
You will be doing the following tasks:
- Maintain stock levels and determine the accurate need and requirement items before ordering new stock.
- Ensure that ordered products are confirmed and accurately invoiced when they arrive.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure that stock is maintained, such that there is no shortage or excess of supply.
- Provide training to junior and/or new staff members and offer continued guidance to other staff if and where required.
- Ensuring continued compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring employees are offering exceptional customer service.
- Making sure customers are happy with the service and products.
- Introducing new products and maintenance of the existing product line, including adding/removing products
- Making budgets and working according to it to achieve targets
- Developing and executing procurement and marketing strategies, along with establishing pricing structures
- Strategically plan the promotion of the business at a local level so that maximum customers can be attracted
- Daily cash reconciliation, petty cash, and banking
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the store
- Develop, execute, and manage merchandising programs for the store
- Ensure staff comply with Company policies and procedures
- Maintain security controls - cash, keys, alarms, and stock
- Ensure the business and staff comply with Occupational Health & Safety guidelines
- Any other reasonable tasks asked by the employer from time to time
- Proactively build and maintain customer relationships.
- Motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
- Any other related tasks may be assigned from time to time as assigned by the employer
Skills Required:
- At least 2-3 years of work experience required, relevant to the role in retail, hospitality or other similar industry (only if you do not have a relevant qualification)
- A relevant qualification may be considered if you do not have relevant work experience; the qualification must be in management, hospitality, commerce or other relevant field etc.
- Availability to work full-time on weekends, public holidays and work on rostered hours between 9 am to 11 pm.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well presented, well organised with good time management skills.
- Be motivated to provide the best possible customer service and care.
- Honest and enthusiastic with a positive and mature attitude.
- Availability to work full-time from Monday- Sunday, between 30-40 hours per week including public holidays
Other Details:
- $25-$34 per hour, depending on experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well presented, well organised, with good time management skills.
- Be motivated to provide the best possible customer service and care.
- Honest and enthusiastic with a positive and mature attitude.
- Advantage if you have a Liquor Controller Qualification
