Trade Support – Kiwi Buildlink

Kiwi BuildLink is a privately owned building supplies business based in Horotiu, Hamilton.

Due to continuing growth across our trade business, we are looking for a motivated Trade Support person to assist our sales team and help deliver excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

This role involves supporting our sales staff with customer enquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders and ensuring customers receive the right products on time.

This varied role will entail:

• Assisting the sales team to implement strategies that meet and exceed sales targets.
• Managing trade accounts, identifying additional sales opportunities, and evaluating customer needs.
• Visiting building sites, sourcing new business opportunities through leads and relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Dealing directly with sales for the public and trade
• Completing sales/quotes using our POS system, ensuring that all sales are completed accurately and effectively
• Participating in and organising trade breakfasts, sponsored events, and other events as required.

To be successful you would ideally:

• Have product knowledge of building and landscape materials (industry experience would be great)
• Be highly motivated with an exceptional worth ethic
• Have experience achieving sales targets and are driven to meet & exceed customer service and sales expectations
• The ability to communicate with different types of people and can build rapport with clients over the phone, on site and in the office
• Have a strong attention to detail, are practical in nature, and have a can-do approach to your work
• A strong health and safety focus

Hours: 5 days per week - Monday - Friday (7am - 5pm), Rostered Saturdays, (8.00am - 2.00pm, one per month).
