We are looking for a good Kiwi battler who is as comfortable leaning on a farm gate and talking all things rural as they are in the yard and showroom exploring customers' projects.

Strong relationships are at the heart of what we do. You'll do the legwork that makes things happen for rural producers; in return, we'll provide you with a wide range of opportunities to develop skills and help you progress.

About the Team/Service/Location

We have an opportunity for our next Outdoor Timber Specialist (Salesperson) to join our team, based at our Retail Store, 2 Dean Crescent, Waihi.

You'll greet customers with a smile and a 'can-do' attitude, talk to them either in person or over the phone, and find out their product needs to ensure they get the best value option for their project. We work as part of a small team, so being in the yard putting orders together, unloading and loading trucks, and putting product away may also be required.

Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Saturday morning is worked on a roster among the team.

Skills and Experience

While a background in either sales, customer service, or farming experience may be an advantage, as full training will be provided, it is more important that you are able to demonstrate:

• An ability to match our rural customers' dedication and passion for producing and supplying natural products.
• Self-motivation and reliability.
• Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to deliver what you promise.
• Ability to converse with and understand our customer base about all things farming.
• Being the sort of character that can get on with and relate to a wide range of people.
• Physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber and posts, with a commitment to safe work practices.
• A willingness to be trained and learn new skills.

You will need a full driver's licence (or the ability to get one soon) as you will be required to drive our vehicles and obtain your F licence endorsement once trained.
