Job Title: Pizza Cook: 2 Positions Employer: Sunray Trading Ltd (Franchisee of Pizza Hut Matamata) Location: Matamata, Waikato Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time 30 to 40 hours per week Wage/Salary: $24 to $28 per hour
Job Summary: Sunray Trading Ltd is seeking two motivated and reliable individuals to join the team at Pizza Hut Matamata. As a Team Member, you will primarily be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas and other menu items in accordance with Pizza Hut’s quality and safety standards. The role may also involve assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and occasionally delivering orders to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and side items following Pizza Hut recipes and procedures. Preparing a range of Pizzas as per customer preferences and under supervision of shift supervisor and management.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and commercial food mixers.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation areas.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers.
- Take and package customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Occasionally deliver pizzas to customers, ensuring timely and courteous service.
- Comply with all health and safety, food handling, and hygiene regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 6 months experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full driver’s licence is preferred for team members who may be required to deliver pizzas.
- Clear MOJ Check.
- Able to lift up to 15kgs safely.
Work Conditions:
- Flexible roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Standing for long periods and working in a heated kitchen environment.
- Lifting and moving food products and equipment.
