Join Hospice West Auckland working to help our retail group generate funds to support the work we do. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is seeking to showcase their sales, customer service and merchandising skills while making a difference to their community and to the environment.

A local to West Auckland, you understand and appreciate the great services that our organisation provides patients in our community. Our stores generate a large portion of the funding that enables us to do this - you can feel proud of your contribution.
You would be working with an amazing group of retail staff and volunteers to provide outstanding customer service, merchandising flare and achieve growth volume for your shop by meeting key sales targets.
We have the following roles available:
- Part time role working Saturday (8 hours per week) across our New Lynn and Glen Eden retail stores.
- Casual roles working across our Hospice West Auckland stores.
What does an average day look like?
Variety is key and each day is filled with lots of secondhand opportunities!
You will be responsible for a range of activities to help support the store run smoothly by:
- Assisting to set up the store
- Handling and balancing cash
- Processing in-coming donations within guidelines
- Helping coordinate the volunteers and assign tasks
- Opening and closing the store (as and when required)
- Working with all shop staff to meet the sales targets for your shop
- Assisting our amazing customers in finding what they need
Retail sales experience is a must as is experience with banking and cashing up procedures. A knowledge of safe work practices would be advantageous.
Training and Support into the exciting and diverse world of second hand retailing will be provided.
