Description

Ruchi Retail Ltd T/A Express Supermarket is located in CBD, Auckland. We are currently looking for a professional and customer services-oriented Store Manager who will supervise the operational and organisational standards of the store. Duties will include undertaking administrative and financial tasks, monitoring inventory levels and developing business strategies. This position is full-time (usually 40 hours per week with a guarantee of 30 hours per week) and permanent. Hours of work 9.00am –5.00pm Monday to Sunday including Weekends and Public Holidays. Hourly wage $31-34/hour. We are a busy establishment with large and diverse inventory therefore good knowledge and experience is essential.

Your duties will include:

  • Organize and coordinate operations
  • Determine product mix, stock levels and services standards
  • Manage purchasing and set prices
  • Promote and advertise store’s goods and services
  • Recruit and manage staff
  • Maintain high levels of customer service
  • Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
  • Develop and direct staff
  • Maintain stock, undertake stocktakes and keep financial records
  • Manage everyday operations
  • Schedule Rostering needs of the business
  • Schedule purchasing and inventory control
  • Undertake budgeting for the store
  • Supervise staff
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety
  • Prepare reports for Director

Requirements for this role:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualification level 5 or above
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities
  • Customer service oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic management processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to follow health and safety measures at work
  • Have a positive can-do attitude
  • Reliable and keen to turn up for work
