Thermalframe is a leading manufacturer and installer of high-quality uPVC windows, dedicated to enhancing homes across New Zealand with superior comfort, energy efficiency, and style. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on builder to become our Installation Manager.

In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of our installation process, ensuring our windows and doors are fitted with the highest precision and that our customers receive an exceptional experience from start to finish. You'll lead by example, driving improvements in quality, productivity, development, and safety for our talented team of installers. If you're a natural leader with a keen eye for detail and a knack for coordination, someone who demonstrates a proactive, 'can-do' attitude, takes immense pride in delivering work to the highest standards, and thrives on nurturing a team committed to their craft, we want to hear from you!

This role will be action-packed with both “on tools” and “off tools” work to be done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate: Efficiently manage our installation crews, ensuring they have the right materials, tools, and information for each job. Show you skills on the tools for the trickier jobs.
  • Quality and accuracy: Conduct precise final measurements at job sites to ensure accuracy before manufacturing. Maintain and uphold the high standards of workmanship and quality control on all installations.
  • Team development: Play a key role in the training and upskilling of installers at all levels, fostering continuous improvement and skills growth within the team.
  • Performance and safety: Actively work to improve the quality, productivity, and safety of our installation teams, ensuring a positive working environment for everyone.
  • Talent acquisition: Contribute to the hiring and onboarding of new talent, helping to build and strengthen our installer workforce.
  • Drive productivity: Manage project timelines and resources effectively to meet installation deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively: Engage with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the installation process.
  • Problem resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site challenges that may arise during installation.

What We're Looking For:

  • First of all you must be a great person to be around!
  • Ideally you’re a qualified builder with extensive hands-on experience and a strong understanding of window and door installation techniques.
  • Strong communication and people skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing a team.
  • A resilient and positive attitude with a naturally strong work ethic, happy to go the extra mile to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence.

Why Join Thermalframe?

At Thermalframe you'll be part of a dynamic team committed to quality and customer satisfaction. You'll have a direct impact on the success of our installations and the development of our workforce. We offer a very competitive salary package and the chance to contribute to a company that's making a real difference in homes across the Wellington region.
