Tradestaff is seeking skilled Carpenters to register their interest for a wide range of civil and commercial construction projects commencing throughout February 2026. With several major builds and infrastructure works ramping up in the new year, we are preparing to place experienced carpenters across multiple sites throughout Wellington and Lower Hutt. If you’re looking to secure your next role ahead of time and want steady, challenging work moving into 2026, we want to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of building experience (civil and/or commercial construction)
- NZ Qualified Carpenter or working towards qualification (preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates)
- Strong understanding of structural and commercial carpentry
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to interpret plans and work independently to a high standard
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Must pass a drug test and hold a clean MOJ record

- Commercial fit-outs and refurbishments
- Structural and framing work
- Formwork and civil infrastructure carpentry
- Interior and exterior carpentry
- Multi-trade commercial project support
- Long-term and short-term placements depending on project needs
