Gibson Builders is a family-owned residential building company delivering high-quality builds, bespoke new homes, renovations, additions and sheds across the Wairarapa.
We’re looking for a Qualified Builder or Lead Builder to join our small but growing team. You’ll work closely with owner-builder Hamish, who is regularly on site, providing hands-on support and real ownership of quality. We pride ourselves on predictable healthy workloads and a team culture built on trust, communication, and a sense of humour.
Whether you’re an experienced site leader or a qualified builder ready for a change, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
- Day-to-day site leadership and organisation
- Lead and support a small team
- Clear communication with clients, staff and subcontractors
- Manage health & safety on site
- Be involved with developing, operating, and implementing systems
- Quality control across all stages of the build
About You
- Qualified builder
- Experience as a lead builder or motivated to take the next step
- Reliable and organised
- Clear communicator and a team player
- Takes pride in a job done right with strong attention to detail
- Own comprehensive set of tools
- Full NZ driver’s licence
