Welcome to TechClean – New Zealand’s trusted experts in asbestos removal, restoration, and hazardous material management. We’re growing – and we’re looking for motivated Asbestos Removalists and experienced Asbestos Supervisors to join our team.

About the Role:

At TechClean, you’ll be part of a skilled team delivering residential, commercial, and industrial projects across New Zealand. Whether you’re working as a Removalist or leading a site as a Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring asbestos is removed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. These are hands-on roles suited to people who take pride in quality work, value safety above all else, and want to build a long-term career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Removalists:

• Carry out asbestos removal and decontamination works safely, following all regulations and company procedures
• Operate PPE and containment systems correctly, maintaining strict health & safety standards
• Assist supervisors and project managers with daily site operations and project documentation
• Maintain a tidy, compliant, and professional work area at all times
• Support continuous improvement and team collaboration on every project

Supervisors:

• Supervise asbestos removal works across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
• Ensure all works comply with NZ regulations, codes of practice, and company safety standards
• Lead, motivate, and train site staff to maintain a high-performing, safety-first culture
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including work packs, air monitoring records, and clearances
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and stakeholders
• Ensure all plant, equipment, and PPE are used safely and maintained appropriately

About You:

Removalists:

• Class A or B Asbestos Worker licence preferred (training available for the right candidate)
• Strong commitment to health & safety and quality workmanship
• Reliable, hardworking, and a great team player
• Physically fit and capable of hands-on work in challenging environments
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
• Bonus: experience in restoration, construction, demolition, or specialist cleaning

Supervisors:

• Class A and/or Class B Asbestos Supervisor licence (required)
• Solid experience supervising asbestos removal works
• Strong knowledge of NZ regulations and procedures
• Leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality results
• Bonus: experience in restoration, demolition, or hazardous materials management
