Class 2 Delivery Driver - Temp to PermLocation: TaurangaStart: ASAPHours: 7:00am - 4:00pm (flexibility required)
We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Class 2 Delivery Driver for a temp-to-permanent opportunity with a well-established business in the building supplies sector.
This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, communicates confidently, and understands the importance of delivering excellent service on every site.
About the role:
- Delivering and collecting materials using a Class 2 tip truck
- Using a mobile app to manage deliveries and returns, including taking photos on site
- Communicating directly with customers regarding delivery times, changes, and returns
- Managing credits and returning items from site
- Working closely with yard staff to ensure loads are safe and correctly prepared
- Speaking up if a load is unsafe or not loaded correctly
- Some deliveries may be outside Tauranga, requiring flexibility with start and finish times
- Regular offloading at multiple sites, with some heavy lifting involved
- Forklift operation as required
What we're looking for:
- Full NZ Class 2 driver licence
- Tip truck experience is essential
- Current forklift licence (F endorsement)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident using mobile apps and basic technology
- Comfortable making phone calls to customers and site contacts
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Reliable, flexible, and safety-focused
