A hardy New Zealand native groundcover and climber, Muehlenbeckia complexa thrives in coastal conditions and tough environments. Its dense, wiry stems carry tiny, round leaves, forming a mat up to 2m wide and, if supported, reaching heights of up to 2m. In late spring, it produces small, pale green flowers, followed by waxy, translucent white seeds.
Ideal for sun or shade, it's perfect for banks, green walls, or trellises. Drought and wind-tolerant, this evergreen plant is loved by insects and lizards, making it a great addition to any garden. Evergreen and resilient, it bounces back even after severe cold.
