Moved into a house in Christchurch & found these signs. Did some research & found that ‘The Hydro Grand Hotel’ in Timaru, is actually very iconic. A grand 105 year old building, that closed its doors for the last time in 2003. Since that time a lot of controversy was had whether to restore it of demolish it. Sadly, it was demolished in 2018.

We have happily kept these signs as they are pretty cool, but now will share them with someone who (hopefully) understands its significant history and will also get the same enjoyment out of them, as we have. They have certainly been a conversation starter!

The Hydro Grand sign is 2400 x 60cm. (And the other Restaurant sign is thrown in, as is obviously is not complete).
