2007 BARROS VINTAGE PORT

For a vintage port only the best wines of a particular harvest year are used, which clearly defines the quality. The wine is fortified in the traditional way and ages in then bottle as opposed to the Late Bottled Vintage, which prior to bottling, undergoes a lengthy barrel aging

Described as “ Beautiful dark purple colour. Complex floral and fruity aroma with hints of plums and cassis. Intense mouth feeling with a beautiful balance. Discrete tannins and a long fruity finish of black currants”

Robert Parker Wine advocate said: “ The purple/black 2007 Barros exhibits a lovely perfume of black currant, fresh herbs (sage and rosemary), Asian spices, and floral notes. This leads to an elegantly styled, silky Port with good concentration but only average volume. This pretty effort can be enjoyed relatively early but should continue to drink well through 2027”
