A superb item in very good order.The metal top shows a bit of are use related wear and tear. No chips or cracks but does not have its stopper. Note photo 7 which shows the base.Hand blown body Obvious long time use has produced a wear ring but the clincher is the pontil mark in the middle. These were polished off by the late 1890s. which left a polished round depression on the base. Note also photo 3 which shows a very small registration diamond incorporated into the overall design. This particular version of the diamond was in use from 1863 to 1883. .The diamond was no longer used from 1884. The wee diamond is too small for me to be accurate about the exact date. but my guess is closer to 1883 than 1863. 205 mm highest 110 mm across side 95 mm across front
