Hoover "Poor Mans" hand wringer electric washing machine, intermittent rating motor. This small Hoover single tub, made in Wales, Great Britain, was designed and engineered to be affordable to a wide market and in this respect it is very well designed. Stainless steel is employed for the tub and impeller which contributes to durability while cheaper light gauge painted steel was used for the cabinet. The simple tumbling washing action, the tiny hand wringer for squeezing water out of fabric and the lightweight cabinet also reflect the desire by Hoover
