Ah, the Silver Reed Silverette II - for all your seaside blue summer dream typing needs! The Silverette - the dinkiest lil clacker than ever tapped out a best-selling mystery novelette over the summer holidays.

Because she has a bottom cover you can put her on your lap and sit back against a sand dune and type in the shade of your straw Stetson or lean against a tropical strand of the beezlenut vine near the cool of a pool and smash out the first draft of your next mystery novel. Because she is - for a typewriter - quite small and light, you can take her anywhere. She goes snappity, tippety tappety ... and her bell still goes bing. She's nice and tinny - which is not a misspelling of tiny - though she's pretty much that too.

She's a simple, intuitive machine and she basically has, as far as typers go, the least of a learning curve you can get. You simply roll in the paper, set your margins, and start typing away.

She has Pica font. Two-colour selector.

I can't guarantee that she'll work into the future as well as she's worked for me but if she has problems I'll be happy to take a look at them. I have given her a paint job a while ago and she has some imperfections as I am an imperfect painter. She has some scratches, marks, and bumps, and her malleable frame is bent in places, as such malleable frames usually are. Feel free to bend her into shape if you want. I usually leave cosmetic concerns like that up to the customer anyway and focus more on getting these typers typing. However, she can type text such as I have demonstrated in the pictures. She has no case. Well, she had one but I lost the handle. You don't need the case. No one ever needs the cases to these which is why they go missing.
