Ultimate Courier RB 5 Valve radio.

This radio was manufactured circa 1945. In common with other radios made in 1945-46, the body was made of pressed metal on a pinewood base, which gives it a quite striking appearance. This was because veneers and plywood, plus the craftsmen to apply them, were rare in the immediate post-war period. The pressed metal building phase was of short duration which makes these radios quite rare. As can be seen from the photos the radio body itself is in excellent condition. Dimensions - 40cm wide x 18cm deep x 27cm high.

The radio itself has been converted to allow it to function on FM/Bluetooth/MP3 as well as AM.

We are reluctantly selling this radio as we are in the process of downsizing and the radio will take up too much space in our new (much) smaller Kitchen.
