As far as I can tell from a web search, this is a Singer 201K23.

It's a beautiful example of a classic sewing machine.

The machine itself is in aesthetically good condition. Some very minor corrosion in a couple of places, but nothing really noticeable.

It is in excellent working mechanical and electrical condition.

The only fault it has is that sometimes the thread would bunch up on the underside.

I am pretty sure that's just a tensioning issue though. For someone with the right know-how it would likely be a very easy fix.

The electric cable and foot pedal are in good condition too.

The table is in reasonably good condition, structurally.

Cosmetically, it has some stains on the top, and there's not much varnish left on top either.

There is quite a bit of other damage to the varnish.

The knob on the front drawer is damaged, and there is also a piece of wood coming loose at the back.

The table is functionally sound though, and all the hinges, etc. work as they should.

With a sand and a re-varnish I think it would come up looking really nice.

I had the machine itself professionally serviced in 2008, and it's had very little use since then. I have included photos of the invoice from that service.

Local pick up preferred. I am in Liberton (near Pine Hill) in Dunedin.

But if a buyer is willing to organise a freight company to pick it up from my address, and pay for the transport costs, I would be happy to do that.
