This is a Nice Retro Grey Desk Telephone. It was made in the 1960's. Also knows as a Cobra Phone. (As seen on Mad Men). These are getting very difficult to find in working condition, and also getting parts is very difficult.

When Ericsson launched its new Ericofon in the mid-1950s it was the first all-in-one telephone in the world. The Ericofon achieved rapid success thanks to its revolutionary design and convenience. Availability in several different colors no doubt contributed to its popularity.

This phone is in excellent excellent working condition. There are a couple of very minor scuffs and scrapes that come with age and use. It has been cleaned/refurbished inside and out (It has been taken apart and the wiring, wiring terminals and mechanisms checked and then cleaned) The rubber gasket has been replaced, and the line cord and grommet as they had frayed and were faulty.

This model has the internal buzzer and will buzz on incoming calls. Again, finding a cobra phone with the internal buzzer - and working is hard to find!

The Dial has a clean action and returns to the correct rest position freely. The plastic dial has been taken out and cleaned, checked and reassembled. It has a clean finger plate, with no scratching to the plate beneath

This phone uses pulse dialing, you can dial out only on old copper lines (if you still have it) Otherwise you will require a “Pulse to Tone Converter” like Rotadial or Dialgizmo - which are the size of a matchbox, and can connect to your modem’s VoIP port if using UFB, which will allow this phone to dial out.

This phone is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks to the handset and phone.

It is correctly converted and ready to plug in and use. (Fitted with a white BT line cord, if requested for buyers - I can change this to an RJ12 style cable. (see photo for options)

My hobby is fixing old phones that can be then given a good home where they have years of use and enjoyment. Nothing like the sound of an old telephone ringing!
